Pam Bernard
Founder & Lead Teacher
Pam has been working with young children and their families for over 30 years. She studied Early Childhood Education at Mount Wachusett Community College, and has a BFA in Studio Art from Anna Maria College.
Her personal educational philosophy is deeply rooted in the principles of Reggio Emilia, and her image of a child is one filled with curiosity, competence, and creativity. She is committed to providing opportunities for children to be the stewards of their own learning, and gently guides them as they grow to be their most authentic selves.
Pam looks forward to spending her days with the children at Ridgeview Nursery School seeing the world through their wonder filled eyes, and sharing her love of visual art with them.

Our Philosophy
The philosophy of Ridgeview Nursery School is rooted in the belief that each child is a unique individual with their own talents, interests, and capabilities. We embrace a child-centered approach, placing the child at the heart of our educational practices. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where children feel valued, respected, and empowered to explore, learn, and express themselves authentically.
Our philosophy emphasizes the importance of play as a fundamental component of early childhood development. We believe that play is a child's natural way of learning, and we provide ample opportunities for children to engage in imaginative play, problem-solving, and hands-on exploration. Through play, children develop social skills, creativity, critical thinking abilities, and a strong foundation for future learning.
At Ridgeview Nursery School, we also value meaningful partnerships between parents, caregivers, and the community. We believe that by working together, we can create an enriching and supportive environment that nurtures each child's growth, builds their self-esteem, and prepares them for future educational experiences.
